Tessa
After a decade of sporadic practice, Tessa established her yoga routine at twenty weeks pregnant when Yoga For Good opened its doors. Since then, yoga has become an integral part of her life, offering an outlet to develop both physical strength and mental health. Tessa’s personal practice incorporates fluid transitions between asanas, a style attributed to her years as a dancer, and a focus on balancing postures to build heat. Though Tessa enjoys a challenging flow, she knows when to pull back and slow down. Tessa places emphasis on listening to your body and understanding what you need in the moment.
Tessa, a Raleigh native, moved to Oxford with her husband in 2021 in search of a simpler life. They share their old farmhouse with a dog, two cats, and their baby boy. Oxford has been such a welcoming community and Tessa is excited to share her passion with others! She received her RYT 200 certification from Durham studio Yoga off East and has plans to further her education with an emphasis on prenatal yoga.
